3. Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Lead-in
Play a video and ask students why people are crying and why the earth is crying.
The video shows us a picture of killing animals, cutting down trees (deforestation), and so on. People are doing harm to the environment.
Ask students what are the environmental problems they have known.
Step II: A good learner
Two different kinds of environmental problems: problems caused by nature and problems caused by man
Different types of environmental problems caused by man: water pollution; air pollution (global warming); exhaustion of natural resources; desertification, etc.
Searching for words describing environmental problems & solutions
Work in a group and find out words describing environmental problems & possible solutions..
Group 1 focus on water pollution; group 2 focus on air pollution/global warming; group 3 focus on exhaustion of natural resources; group 4 focus on desertification. (One student is responsible for taking notes)
